Licensing & Tiers
Ozone is sold in three plans. Every plan runs the same software: the differences are the limits (how many collectors and devices you can attach, how long data is retained) and which higher-tier features are unlocked. This page is the canonical source for what each plan includes.
Plan matrix
| Capability | Trial / Free | Professional | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|
| Collectors | 1 | 5 | Unlimited |
| Monitored devices | up to 50 | up to 250 | Unlimited |
| Data retention | 7 days | 30 days | 90 days |
| Statistical anomaly detection | No | Yes | Yes |
| Capacity forecasting | No | Yes | Yes |
| AI LLM incident triage (RCA) | No | No | Yes |
| Predictive analytics | No | No | Yes |
| Integrations (Slack, Teams, webhooks, ITSM connectors) | No | Yes | Yes |
| SAML SSO | No | No | Yes |
| High-availability collectors, multi-datacenter | No | No | Yes |
| API access | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Data retention is the window over which historical metrics, events, and alert history stay queryable in the Orchestrator. Once a record ages past the window for your plan, it is aged out.
How licensing is enforced
Ozone verifies licensing at the edge, not by phoning home on every request. Each collector holds a signed license that names your plan and its limits. The collector validates that license offline and gates features locally, so:
- Offline verification. The signature is checked on the appliance itself. A collector does not need a live internet path to the Orchestrator to confirm it is licensed. If your site loses its internet connection, the collector keeps collecting, alerting, and serving its operator WebUI on the LAN. It reconciles with the Orchestrator once connectivity returns.
- Per-feature tier gating. Higher-tier capabilities (for example AI LLM incident triage, predictive analytics, or SAML SSO) are unlocked by the plan encoded in the license. Features above your plan stay disabled rather than partially available.
- Limit enforcement. Collector count, monitored-device count, and retention are enforced against the plan's limits.
Reaching a limit
When you approach or exceed a limit on your plan (for example, trying to attach more monitored devices than the plan allows), Ozone surfaces an in-app upgrade prompt rather than silently dropping data or failing quietly. You can review the higher plan's limits and features in place and move up when ready.
Upgrading a plan updates the license the collector verifies. Existing collectors pick up the new limits without a reinstall.
Choosing a plan
- Trial / Free is for evaluating Ozone on a single collector and a small device set.
- Professional adds statistical anomaly detection, capacity forecasting, and the integration surface (Slack, Teams, webhooks, ITSM connectors) across up to 5 collectors and 250 devices.
- Enterprise removes collector and device limits, extends retention, and unlocks the AI LLM incident triage (RCA), predictive analytics, SAML SSO, and high-availability, multi-datacenter collector deployments.
